ESP, Aimbot, Radar, Chams and Silent Aim: Cheat Features in Plain English
Feature lists run to twenty terms and most buyers pay for things they never switch on. Here is what each one does — and, more usefully, how it looks from the other side of the screen.
Cheat terminology grew organically, and the same word means slightly different things to different developers. Below are the common meanings and, more importantly, how visible each feature is to other players — because visibility is what drives reports.
Information features
They do nothing for you; they show what the game hides from you.
ESP (extra sensory perception, often “visuals”) draws information about objects: boxes around players, skeletons, health, weapon, distance, names. Loot ESP is a distinct category — item highlighting, which is the decisive feature in extraction shooters such as Escape from Tarkov. Item ESP covers containers and crates.
Radar is a 2D map with player positions, usually in a screen corner or on a second monitor. Functionally it is ESP without visual clutter over the game, with awareness beyond your field of view.
Chams (short for chameleon) recolours player models in solid colours drawn through walls. Unlike ESP boxes it highlights the model itself, which reads much better while everything is moving.
They share one property: opponents cannot see them. What opponents see is that you make suspiciously correct decisions. That is why information features tend to survive longest in practice — though server-side analysis of rotations and loot efficiency still applies.
Aim assistance
Aimbot moves your crosshair onto a target. The settings that decide how obvious it is: capture angle (FOV), snap speed, smoothing, target bone priority, visibility checks and the activation key. The same aimbot can look like a strong player or like a robot depending purely on those values.
Triggerbot fires automatically once your crosshair is already on a target; you still aim yourself. Less visible than an aimbot, but it betrays itself through inhumanly consistent reaction times.
No recoil / no spread compensates weapon recoil and bullet spread. Complete removal produces a flawless spray line that stands out statistically, so careful setups reduce rather than eliminate it.
Silent aim registers a shot on a target without a visible crosshair movement. Whether it is possible at all depends on how strictly the server validates shot direction; in authoritative-server titles the feature is often impossible or behaves differently from its name. The mechanics used by specific commercial builds are not publicly confirmed — this is a case where you should ask the provider what actually happens in your game.
Everything else
Speed, fly and teleport appear in titles with weak server-side movement validation, including some modded servers. In modern competitive shooters they are largely absent: the server rejects impossible movement and flags the player.
Misc on a listing is a catch-all: remove flashbangs, remove fog, change field of view, auto-accept matches. Usefulness varies by game; risk is usually below average.

The practical rule is one sentence: if the account is meant to last, configure it so that a recording of your match raises no questions from a viewer. Server-side analytics are not the only threat; reports and manual review catch what statistics miss.
What is worth paying for
- Escape from Tarkov, Rust, PUBG — value sits in information: player ESP, loot, radar. Aim assistance is secondary here.
- Counter-Strike 2, Apex Legends — fast pace, little to scout, so aim assistance carries the value. It is also the most visible category, which makes configuration the whole game.
- First purchase — buy the minimum on a short term. Half the long feature list will never be enabled, and you pay for the whole list.
