Crooked Arms private cheats: install, activate and launch

Before you begin

The launch routine is nearly identical for every game in the Crooked Arms line. For some products the developer suggests keeping the launcher on a USB stick and pulling the stick out once the cheat has been injected — that advice works for all of them, and launching without a stick is also fine.

1. 01 Shut down the game center and the game client.
2. 02 Reboot the PC if a different cheat was running on it earlier.
3. 03 Keep in mind that the launcher has to be closed before the game starts.

First Steps

1. 04 Grab the launcher from the link above.
2. 05 Create an account inside the launcher: fill in username, email, password and the password confirmation, then press "Sign UP". Pass the captcha if one shows up.
3. 06 Sign in using the same credentials you just registered with.
4. 07 Pick your game from the list, click your nickname in the bottom left corner — the key entry button appears there.

Launching the Private Cheat

1. 08 Optional but advised: keep the launcher file on a USB stick and start it from that drive.
2. 09 Start the launcher as administrator.
3. 10 Choose the cheat you bought in the list of programs.
4. 11 Press Launch.
5. 12 Wait for "Successfully launched", then close the launcher.
6. 13 Pull out the USB stick and verify that it is really unplugged.
7. 14 Start the game.
8. 15 Press Home to bring up the cheat menu.

No menu on screen even though every step was followed? Put the game into windowed mode with borders so the desktop stays visible. Apply that mode first, reboot the PC, then try the launch again.

Failed to launch #1

The system is not fully prepared: protection software is still active.

1. 16 Antivirus (completely uninstall!) — merely switching it off is not enough, because parts of it keep working in the background. Reboot once it is gone.
2. 17 SmartScreen — turn off "Reputation-based protection" in the Windows settings.
3. 18 Windows Defender — look up "Virus & threat protection" through Windows search and switch the defender off.
4. 19 Uninstall FaceIt and Vanguard — these CS:GO and Valorant anti-cheats conflict with the launch; look for leftovers as well.
5. 20 Use a VPN — it helps in a number of cases.

Failed to launch #2

Do everything listed for Failed to launch #1, plus the two points below.

1. 21 Close MSI Afterburner — it can stop the injection.
2. 22 Temporarily shut down the Discord overlay, YouTube, streaming tools and other background apps before launching, as any of them may block it.

Failed to launch #4

1. 23 Disable Windows test mode if it is active and reboot the machine.
2. 24 Enable the "Secondary Logon" service: press Win + R, type services.msc, click OK.
3. 25 Locate "Secondary Logon" → Properties → Startup type: Automatic.
4. 26 Switch off antivirus, SmartScreen and Windows Defender as described in Failed to launch #1.
5. 27 Connect through a VPN or swap your DNS (for example Google DNS: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4).

"[Process name] has been forcefully terminated!" and BIOS settings

The message above means the launcher was still running when the game started. Keep to this order:

1. 28 Start the cheat launcher.
2. 29 Wait until the "successfully" message appears.
3. 30 Close the launcher completely.
4. 31 Start the game only after that.
5. 32 Please, enable VT-X in BIOS: check the current state via Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) → Performance → "Virtualization". In BIOS the option sits under Advanced → CPU Configuration, Advanced → Processor Configuration or Security → Virtualization and may be named "Intel Virtualization Technology", "Intel VT-x", "AMD-V" or "SVM Mode". 6. 33 Please, disable Secure Boot in BIOS: enter BIOS, find Secure Boot and set it to Disabled. It usually lives in Boot, System Configuration, Security, Authentication or BIOS Features. 7. 34 Please, change boot mode to UEFI in BIOS: a PC boots either in UEFI (current standard) or Legacy (obsolete). Open Command Prompt as administrator and run mbr2gpt.exe /convert /allowfullOS, then power the machine down and go into BIOS.
8. 35 Enter BIOS with Del on a desktop or F2/F10/F12/Esc on a laptop while the PC is booting. In the BOOT section set Storage Boot Option → UEFI and Other PCI devices → UEFI, then save and quit with F10. Details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt?source=recommendations

Account and binding errors

The software ties a licence to your hardware fingerprint, so the rule is 1 account = 1 PC.

1. 36 Hardware component has changed (HWID): the fingerprint no longer matches. It happens after components are added, removed or swapped around, or after a spoofer has been used.
2. 37 If using a spoofer: turn it off and reboot. Should you want to keep it, sign in to the launcher first and only then start the spoofer (a reboot is needed beforehand).
3. 38 HWID reset request: send the administration your login (email), your key and an explanation of why the reset is needed and what exactly changed. The reset costs 100 RUB when verification fails, when it is requested more often than once per two weeks, or when the PC was replaced; time spent on the procedure is not compensated.
4. 39 HWID banned: binding data could not be read. Either Windows Management Instrumentation is switched off (turn it on and reboot), or Windows itself is damaged (repair or reinstall it), or the Administration blocked the account.
5. 40 How to enable: Win+R → services.msc → open "Windows Management Instrumentation" → Properties → Startup type: "Automatic" → start the service → reboot the PC.
6. 41 Still failing? Win+R → cmd → run wmic baseboard, screenshot the output and send it to the seller.
7. 42 OperationCanceledError (Info: error occured while connecting to server QNetworkReply::OperationCanceledError) means no connection to the server; outage notices go out in the Telegram/Discord channels. Try a VPN, and if one provider fails, use another one or a different server.
8. 43 Replace the DNS servers used by your computer.
9. 44 Reboot the router and the PC.

System errors

1. 45 Restart your system and try again (Hyper-V) means Hyper-V is active and has to go. Method 1: Win+R → optionalfeatures → clear the checkboxes for Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), Windows Sandbox, Microsoft Defender Application Guard, Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Hypervisor Platform, then reboot.
2. 46 Method 2: Start → Settings → Update & Security → Windows Security → Device Security → Core Isolation → Turn off.
3. 47 Method 3: open PowerShell as administrator and run bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off.
4. 48 Continue in the same console with dism.exe /online /disable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux , dism.exe /online /disable-feature /featurename:VirtualMachinePlatform and dism.exe /online /disable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Hyper-V-All, then reboot.
5. 49 On Windows 11 (24H2–25H2) also fetch the Device Guard and Credential Guard hardware readiness tool from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53337 , open PowerShell as administrator, go to the folder with the tool and run Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Scope Process followed by .\DG_Readiness_Tool_v3.6.ps1 -Disable. Reboot, then confirm with bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off.
6. 50 Unsupported OS version: compare your build against the requirements listed on the product page. How to check your Windows version: Win+R → WINVER → OK. Solution: bring Windows up to a supported version or reinstall it.
7. 51 Visual features (WallHack) stuttering or drawn incorrectly: keep scaling in Windows and in the game at 100% and set the screen format to Auto.
