Shadow for PUBG Mobile: installation and setup on emulators

This page walks through getting Shadow running with PUBG Mobile: preparing a supported emulator, installing the game and the bypass, signing in with your key and opening the in-game menu. A separate section covers the Gameloop route, and the last part lists downloads and fixes for the errors people run into most often.

Read this first

  • Switch the antivirus and Windows Defender off before you start installing — they interfere with Shadow Bypass. Both can be turned back on once setup is finished.
  • DO NOT change the device model after logging into the Shadow Bypass app.
  • While downloading game resources in PUBG Mobile: DO NOT log into the game at this stage.
  • On Gameloop the guest account may be reset only once per day. Sign in with your private key instead.
  • Never run a spoofer at the same time as Shadow Bypass — the conflict is what triggers the device verification error. If a spoofer is required, run it beforehand and reboot the PC before starting the cheat.
  • Password for all Shadow archives: 123

Setup on LDPlayer 9 / MuMu Player 12 / BlueStacks 5

These steps apply to the three emulators listed above. If you plan to run the cheat through Gameloop, skip ahead — that route uses its own scripts and a different order.

  1. Pick one of the supported emulators and install it on the PC: MuMu Player 12 (https://www.mumuplayer.com/download/) — the one suggested for the smoothest performance, LDPlayer 9 (https://www.ldplayer.net/other/version-history-and-release-notes.html) or BlueStacks 5 (https://www.bluestacks.com/).
  2. Open the emulator settings and switch on Root permissions — the bypass has no way to work without it.
  3. Still in the settings, create a custom device profile with these values: Brand — SAMSUNG, Device Model — SM-X910, Network Model — SM-X910.
  4. On MuMu Player only, set the display parameters: Width 1920, Height 1080, DPI 245, Maximum FPS 240.
  5. Add the 64-bit build of PUBG Mobile — either through the store built into the emulator, or by grabbing the file from https://shadowbypass.com/download.html. A current client is also available at https://apkcombo.com/.
  6. Launch PUBG Mobile and let it pull down every resource pack. DO NOT log into the game at this stage.
  7. Get SHADOW.apk from https://shadowbypass.com/SHADOW_BYPASS.apk and install it inside the emulator.
  8. Start SHADOW BYPASS and sign in using the private key that arrives by email after purchase.
  9. Before launching, pick the game region — GL | KR | VN | TW.
  10. Turn on Hack ✅.
  11. Leave Safe Mode enabled ✅ — it is on by default.
  12. Optionally tick iPad View ✅ and 120 FPS UHD ✅.
  13. Press START and give PUBG time to open.
  14. Once the game is up, tap the red floating SHADOW HAX icon to bring up the cheat menu.
  15. Drag the lower right corner of the menu if you want to change its size.

The source recommends treating aimbot with caution, or skipping it entirely, to keep the account safer.

Keymapping profile for MuMu Player

  2. Unpack it with the password 123.
  3. Make sure the emulator uses Width 1920, Height 1080, DPI 245, Maximum FPS 240.

Installation through Gameloop

Gameloop has its own package of scripts, so do not mix these steps with the emulator route above. Keep the order exactly as written.

  1. Remove or switch off the antivirus and turn Windows Defender off, then download the Shadow Bypass .zip archive and unpack it — this keeps security software from breaking the install.
  2. Inside the unpacked folder, open Bypass, then open the Setup folder within it.
  3. Run Kill_Gameloop.bat as Administrator, then do the same with Clean_Gameloop.bat.
  4. Install Gameloop.exe from that same setup folder.
  5. Start Gameloop and install the Twitter (X) app through its own interface.
  6. In the Gameloop settings, switch ADB Debugging on and set the renderer to DirectX.
  7. Get the 32-bit build of PUBG from the developer's site or Telegram channel.
  8. Unpack the PUBG archive and run Apk+obb.exe as Administrator.
  9. Run SHADOW_BYPASS.exe as Administrator, type in your license key and choose the PUBG version.
  10. Press START — the game starts on its own. Avoid resetting the guest account over and over.

Tip: every Shadow archive opens with the password 123.

Fixing «Device verification failed»

This message appears when Shadow notices that the hardware profile of the PC is no longer the same. Typical reasons: an HWID Spoofer altered the identifiers, a component such as the motherboard or drive was swapped or reinstalled, or registry and system file edits changed how the machine is identified.

  1. Reboot the PC so spoofer changes roll back, if a spoofer was used.
  2. Write to the seller and ask for a Key Reset.
  3. When the new key arrives, sign in to the Shadow Bypass app again.

Fixing the «Error» button (no server connection)

An «Error» button instead of a normal launch points at the connection to the Shadow servers. Two situations are possible.

  1. Maintenance on the Shadow side: the server is down for a while — anything from several minutes to a couple of hours. Watch the Shadow Discord channel for status updates and simply wait it out.
  2. Blocked access: if the provider filters Discord and Shadow servers, use Method 1 (on PC) — run a Discord bypass or VPN on the computer itself, which also covers traffic from the emulator.
  3. Or use Method 2 (inside emulator) — install any free VPN inside the emulator, for example from Google Play, start it, open Shadow and reach the game lobby; the VPN can be switched off once you are in the lobby.

Other launch problems

  1. VCRUNTIME.dll error at startup: the Visual C++ libraries are absent from the system. Install the All-in-One Driver Pack from https://mega.nz/file/sjh2iDwJ#WIvTQdpHMariZfzc0DfzLf1iYrjhNFjN_sWQYkDgtSs and reboot the PC.
  2. Shadow refuses to start or hangs while loading: confirm the antivirus and Windows Defender are completely disabled, check that Root permissions are active in the emulator, reinstall SHADOW.apk with the newest build from https://shadowbypass.com/SHADOW_BYPASS.apk, or build a fresh emulator instance and configure it again from zero.
  3. The cheat loads but there is no ESP or aimbot: check that Hack ✅ was switched on before you pressed START, then tap the red SHADOW HAX icon in-game and turn on the features you need. If the menu never shows up, restart both the emulator and Shadow.

FAQ

Which emulators does Shadow support?
The .apk build v4.3 is stated to work on LDPlayer 9, MuMu Player 12, BlueStacks 5 and MEmu Play, with PUBG Mobile GL, KR, VN and TW. MuMu Player 12 is the one the developer points to for the best performance. Gameloop is supported too, but through a completely different procedure with its own scripts.
Why must Root permissions be enabled?
Without root access in the emulator the bypass will not function. Turn Root permissions on in the emulator settings before installing anything else, and check this option again if Shadow hangs on loading.
Which PUBG Mobile build do I install?
For the emulator route take the 64-bit client — from the store inside the emulator, from https://shadowbypass.com/download.html or from https://apkcombo.com/. For the Gameloop route you need the 32-bit build from the developer's site or Telegram channel.
Where do I get the key and what if it stops working?
The private key is sent to your email after purchase and is entered in the SHADOW BYPASS app. If «Device verification failed» appears, the hardware profile of the PC changed: reboot the machine to undo spoofer changes, ask the seller for a Key Reset, then sign in again with the new key.
What is the archive password?
All Shadow archives, including the MuMu keymapping file, open with the password 123.
Shadow launches, but there is no ESP or aimbot. What now?
Check that Hack ✅ was enabled in the app before you pressed START. In the game, tap the red SHADOW HAX icon and switch on the functions you want. If the menu never appears at all, restart the emulator and Shadow. The developer also advises using aimbot sparingly, or not at all, for account safety.
