SMG Cheats for Escape from Tarkov: launch and troubleshooting

Read this first

If errors appear during launch, uninstall Faceit / Vanguard or disable system protection.
When the EFT client crashes on F2, disable "Exploit Protection" in Windows settings and restart the computer.
On Windows 11 all protection must be off — Defender, SmartScreen, firewall and any other antivirus — before running win11_driver_OFF.reg and disabling Core Isolation.
The system clock has to be synchronised TWICE if the PC reboots when the cheat starts.

Getting the loader

Download the latest loader: https://api.smgcheats.com/client/download.php

Launch

Start the loader — Administrator privileges are requested by it automatically.
Take the key issued by the seller and paste it into the "license key" field.
Press "activate" and hold on until the confirmation of a successful activation shows up.
Once activated, the loader switches you to the launch page — press "inject" there.
A window reading preparing mapper... appears while loading runs.
When the loader reports awaiting game windows, start the game; once the main menu has finished loading, hit F2.

⚠️ Important: should errors show up, uninstall Faceit / Vanguard or switch off system protection. A crash of the EFT client at the moment you press F2 points to "Exploit Protection" — turn it off in Windows settings and reboot the machine.

Why the driver may fail to load

Driver does not load / loading error: usually an antivirus is still installed, or Windows protection was never switched off.
On Windows 11: blocking of driver loading has to be lifted in "Core Isolation" inside the system settings.

If you have Windows 11

Windows 11 needs a bit of preparation so the run goes through without errors. Do the following in order.

Switch off every piece of Windows protection — Defender, SmartScreen, the firewall, plus any third-party antivirus.

Launch win11_driver_OFF.reg and confirm the changes it makes.
Turn Core Isolation off: Settings → Privacy & Security → Windows Security → Device Security → Core Isolation.
Reboot the PC and repeat the injection.

Common problems and solutions

Find your symptom below and apply the matching fix.

Loader crashes on launch. Solution: start it again, download a fresh copy, move it to the root of drive C, reboot Windows.
Loader does not start, failure connect or another network-related error. Solution: turn your VPN on and off again, reboot the PC; still stuck — write to the seller.
Loader closes right after the cheat initializes. Solution: shut down every antivirus, Windows Defender and anything else that hooks into the system. When that changes nothing, open a command prompt with elevated rights and run: sc stop faceit, sc stop vgc, sc stop vgk.
Cheat menu never shows up even though launch was reported successful. Solution: start the game launcher with administrator rights. If nothing changes, locate the launcher file (Steam / BSG Launcher, etc.), right-click it → Properties, open the Compatibility tab, tick "Run this program as an administrator", press Apply and try the cheat once more. Should the menu still be missing, repeat the same procedure for the game's executable files.
PC reboots the moment the cheat starts. Solution: synchronise the system clock TWICE — that detail matters.
Server internal error #. Solution: reach out to technical support and give them the error code together with your key.
An empty window with an OK button appears after injection. Solution: run the BSG Launcher or Steam as administrator.
Loader opens with a blank cmd console and no visible text. Solution: switch HDR mode off in the system or monitor settings.
Loader reports a driver status such as 0xC00006C, 0xC000056, C0000001. Solution: verify that all protection is really disabled, clear unneeded entries from startup, reboot the PC.
