What the announcement says
Season 31 is scheduled to begin in November. Its Ranked changes include Legend Banning in matches containing Diamond+ players. During a new pre-match ban phase, each player can vote for one Legend. More votes raise that Legend’s chance of being banned, but the final bans are selected randomly. A banned Legend cannot be picked for that match.
The announcement also introduces a visible Lobby Tier, based on the median rank tier across squads in the lobby. Squads that sit at least two rank tiers above or below that tier will have adjusted entry costs. Squads two or more tiers below it enter as Challengers and receive a reduced entry cost.
For Season 32, planned for early 2027, the post lists Iron, Emerald, and Grandmaster ranks, a Pro-Am League, an overhaul of Ranked rewards, and further changes. The provided announcement does not give implementation details for those additions.
What this means for software
Nothing in this post says that anti-cheat has changed, that bans are being issued, or that a particular cheat has been detected. It is a Ranked-mode roadmap, not a software-status update. There is no factual basis in this announcement to label a product detected, working, or in need of an immediate update.
Before Season 31 goes live, use the current status of the product you run as your reference point. Check the product page and support updates for Covcheg for Apex Legends rather than treating a future Ranked feature as proof of a client or protection change.
Once the Season 31 game update is released, reassess. A game patch can affect the client and may require a software update. Do not rely on an old status message, previous-day feedback, or the fact that the roadmap was published earlier. Wait for the product’s status to be confirmed against the new game version.
Ranked implications
Diamond+ players should plan around the new ban phase. Information features do not bypass a Legend ban: if a Legend is removed for that match, nobody can select them. Players whose usual Ranked setup depends on one character should prepare alternatives before the season starts.
The Lobby Tier and entry-cost adjustments affect RP conditions, not cheat detection. Being placed in a Challenger match does not indicate anything about a product’s detection status. Third-party software always carries risk in any mode and at any rank. For context on detections, reports, and risks around updates, see why cheats get detected.
What to do now
If your product currently has a valid working status, this announcement alone is not a reason to stop using it. That is not a promise of safety: no cheat can provide one.
On the Season 31 patch day, check the page for the exact product you use, such as BTG for Apex Legends, along with its support notices. If the new game build has not been confirmed, do not launch the product until its status changes. Review the safe launch checklist as well; it cannot remove risk, but it helps avoid common user mistakes.
The announcement addresses Ranked features only. It does not announce anti-cheat rules, penalties for third-party software, or changes to non-Ranked modes. Watch for the actual game patch and verified product-status updates.
