Dead by Daylight 10.1.2: What the Patch Means for Cheats

What changed in 10.1.2

The patch adjusts The Judgment’s Divine Light. Its curve window while Zealous is now 0.8 seconds, up from 0.6 seconds. Outside Zealous, Divine Light now has a separate 0.3-second curve window. Survivors released from Exile will respawn at least 32 meters from The Judgment and receive one second of Divine Light immunity.

2v8 also received new content: The Xenomorph, Invoking Salts, and the Nostromo Wreckage map. The Ghost Face and The Executioner were adjusted, Survivor classes now start with default Uncommon items, chest spawns were increased, and uncaging angles were expanded. The announcement also lists a range of character, audio, and map fixes.

What this means for cheat users

The announcement does not say that Dead by Daylight changed its anti-cheat, issued bans, or started a detection wave. There is no basis here to claim any of that.

That said, a live-game update is still a reason to pause before loading software. Balance updates and bug fixes can alter the game client and leave a loader, ESP, visual feature, or another module out of sync. That does not prove detection or establish a risk level; it means compatibility has not been confirmed yet.

If you use SMG or Clutch, check the product page for a status that explicitly covers the current game version. If there is no confirmation, or the client says it is updating, do not queue just to test it. Wait for the provider to publish an updated status.

Updated does not mean risk-free

A provider marking a build as updated is a compatibility statement, not a guarantee against sanctions. No cheat is safe. Detection can depend on technical changes, player reports, in-game behaviour, and later detection waves. Our guide on why cheats get detected explains those separate factors.

Nothing in the 10.1.2 notes establishes that a specific product supports the new Judgment values, Xenomorph content, or 2v8 additions. Do not change settings based on assumptions about new entities, visuals, or game-mode data. Use only the notes released for the product you actually run.

What to do now

1. Close Dead by Daylight and the cheat client before updating the game.
2. Wait for a compatibility notice from the provider of your exact product.
3. Install updates only through the product’s official client and read its update notes.
4. Before the first launch, use the safe launch checklist. It cannot remove the risk of using cheats, but it can help avoid unnecessary mistakes.

Bottom line: the patch notes contain no anti-cheat announcement, but the game client has changed. Skip matchmaking after 10.1.2 until your software has a confirmed compatible status.
