Off the Grid’s August Update touches several client-side areas at once: UI, combat HUD, movement, Jetpack mechanics, and redeployment. That makes this a patch where launching software immediately after updating the game is the wrong move—check confirmed compatibility for the product you use first.
The announcement does not mention an anti-cheat update, a detection wave, or bans. There is no basis in these patch notes to claim that any of those happened. At the same time, the lack of such a statement is not proof that software will work or carry no risk.
What changed in the game
The update adds a Content Pack featuring Bulwark, a full-body skin, plus the Rampart LMG skin, Tank banner, and Stronghold avatar. The Vanguard Battle Pass includes the Nullface, SwampJaw, and Dunewalker skins alongside weapon cosmetics, banners, avatars, and other rewards.
On the gameplay side, characters can now be seen at unlimited range rather than disappearing past 200 metres. The developers describe this as experimental and say they will monitor its performance impact.
Quick Melee damage was reduced from 190 to 100. Jetpack overheating has been reworked, Dash has returned to three charges while consuming 30% Heat per use, and heat recovery behavior has changed. Dash now adds to current speed, although sharp direction changes in the air are less effective. Slide-Hopping also loses momentum quickly after the second hop.

What to do with software
Do not treat a menu opening as a compatibility check. A game update can leave individual features out of sync even when the loader appears to work. Wait for the product’s current status and any support notice before use.
If you run Arcane for Off the Grid or Pussycat for Off the Grid, check that product page before launching. Reinstalling the game, disabling security software, or changing random settings is not a substitute for a software-side update.
