What the hotfix changes
Hotfix 1.3.3.1.145413 resolves a crash that could happen when a player opened the Manual and then the Journal from the inventory. The update also introduces a new crash-reporting flow, letting players add details when submitting a report after a game crash. Server crash data will now be sent to the developers automatically.
Most of the remaining changes are gameplay fixes. The patch corrects barbed-wire damage around TEC1 Research Facilities, several Apex Mutant Bear and Apex Hunt issues, quest progress being lost on server restarts, recipe problems, building placement and upgrade bugs, and a collision gap near the C3 bunker that allowed players to move below the map. It also covers several visual fixes and Sandbox Mode commands or DLC-item spawning.
What this means for cheat users
The announcement does not mention an anti-cheat update, detections, account penalties, security components, or ban activity. It also says nothing about the compatibility status of any cheat product. As a result, this post alone cannot show that a launch is more dangerous, less dangerous, or supported after the hotfix.
A crash fix and expanded crash reporting should not be read as proof that third-party software works, nor as proof that it carries no risk. The developer’s notes describe game fixes and post-crash diagnostics; they do not explain any relationship between those changes and external software.
For SCUM software, rely on the current status confirmed by the product’s support channel rather than trying to infer it from quest or stability fixes. Update availability, support, requirements, and product status are the points to check; see the cheat selection checklist for a practical process. There is no risk-free cheat setup, so review the safe launch checklist before starting the game.
Launch now or wait?
This announcement does not justify a blanket wait recommendation for all SCUM software, and it does not justify a blanket go-ahead either. Check the confirmed status of the exact product you use. If no status has been provided, do not replace it with assumptions based on the hotfix notes.
Known issues still listed
Two issues remain open. Some players cannot currently access Twitch Drops they earned earlier. The developer describes that as a backend issue and says restoring access will not require another hotfix or a new game download.
Some servers may also be absent from the in-game browser or search results. Players can still join an affected server by entering its IP address manually. Neither known issue is described in the announcement as related to cheat operation, detection, or compatibility.
