The cheat-relevant part of V0.8 #5
This update introduces an initial anti-idle feature intended to identify players who are genuinely inactive and send them back to the lobby. It also shortens the map-vote period, fixes player and team indicators, adjusts loadout and grenade presentation, reworks tablet rendering, and adds crash-report information.
The most relevant statement for cheat users is about work still in progress. The developers are rebuilding the party system around a new connectivity layer so players can queue with friends more easily. They say that rework has implications for anti-cheat.
That is not the same as an announced anti-cheat update. The notes do not report a detection update, ban wave, account action, or a newly deployed protection module. There is no basis in this announcement to claim that the patch is detected, undetected, safe, or unsafe. Using cheat software in an online game always carries a ban risk.
Should you launch after the patch?
Treat a game patch as a reason to verify the status of your exact product, not as proof of a detection event. Check the current post-patch notice for Ghost Bodycam, Mason Bodycam, or Soft HUB for Bodycam before joining a match.
If the product has no confirmation for the current game build, or its loader is being updated, wait for the developer’s notice instead of forcing a launch. This is a practical response to a changed game client, not a claim that Bodycam has already detected anything. Do not try to solve a loader issue by using old files, disabling Windows protections, or downloading replacement files from unknown sources.
A working-status notice is not a safety guarantee. Before launching, use the safe launch checklist to avoid avoidable account, system, and configuration mistakes. It can reduce operational errors, but it cannot remove the risk of detection or a ban.
What the anti-AFK addition does—and does not say
Based on the notes, the new idle check is meant to keep inactive players out of active matches. If you step away, expect that your character may be moved to the lobby rather than left in the game.
The announcement does not say that this feature scans for ESP, aim assistance, or any other cheat capability. It should not be treated as evidence of a new cheat-detection method. For a plain-language explanation of features such as ESP and aimbot, see the ESP and aimbot guide; Bodycam’s patch notes do not connect those features to anti-AFK.
What to monitor next
Watch for news on parties and friend queues. That connectivity project is the one the developers explicitly linked to anti-cheat consequences. Once it ships, reassess the status of the software you use rather than relying on conclusions drawn from V0.8 #5.
Use confirmed statements from the game team and the product developer as your reference. Player reports, crashes, login trouble, or rumors do not by themselves establish a detection. If an account has already been banned, follow the practical steps in what to do after a ban instead of relying on supposed unban services.
