What changed in Deadlock
The announcement adds Halloween visuals, breakable candy cauldrons around the map, and the temporary Sugar Rush buff. The event is scheduled to remain available through November 2, 2026.
Most of the update is focused on gameplay balance. The Mid-Boss area is larger and has additional cover. Mid-Boss health and health growth were increased, resistance reduction is less effective against it, and its kill bounty was reduced.
The Rejuvenator now drops as three crystals positioned around the pit rather than one central crystal. Each crystal can be broken with a heavy melee attack, grants one Rejuvenator to the team, and awards bounty to the player who breaks it. Securing Mid-Boss now means controlling multiple positions instead of simply taking an item from the centre.
The patch also adjusts Haunts, comeback mechanics, healing, tunnels, and several items. High-Velocity Rounds has lower bullet velocity, Hunter’s Aura no longer affects targets through walls or outside line of sight, and Shadow Weave uses a revised ambush-bonus system. The latest six heroes are no longer treated as new, so they follow normal ranked-unlock rules and can be banned.
What the announcement says about software
It does not mention a ban wave, an anti-cheat update, detections, or technical client changes. That means this post cannot confirm that a product needs an update, and it cannot confirm that a product already supports the current Deadlock build.
Gameplay patch notes are not a compatibility notice. Check the current status published by the team behind the product you use. That applies equally to Coconut Deadlock and Clutch: a listing in the catalogue or a stated feature count is not a current-build compatibility confirmation.
If the product team has not marked the current build as supported, do not treat this announcement as a reason to launch. Wait for that team’s update or contact support first. The same rule applies to Phoenix and Byster Deadlock.
What to do today
- Check the status notice for the specific product you intend to use.
- Do not interpret the lack of anti-cheat details in this post as a risk assessment or a guarantee.
- If current-build support has not been confirmed, wait and play without third-party software until the product team responds.
- Even after a status update, remember that neither a game patch nor a lack of public anti-cheat news makes cheat use safe.
Review the safe launch checklist before starting anything. If an account has already been sanctioned, see what to do after a ban for the practical next steps.
Bottom line
This is primarily a Deadlock event and balance patch. It changes Mid-Boss value, Rejuvenator control, and several combat interactions, but provides no technical status for third-party software. Only launch after the team behind your particular product confirms current-build support; no product can promise zero risk.
