What Client Build 2 fixes
Hotfix 10.6.3 Client Build 2 is a small client-side release focused on stability and one UI issue. It fixes server favourites being cleared after a game restart. The update also addresses crashes when leaving the game with Nvidia Frame Gen on certain graphics cards, disconnecting from a Fireteam mission, and, in a rare case, changing maps during back-end logging.
Offworld stated that this is a client-only build. Servers do not need an update or restart, and players can keep using either the old or new client until they choose to update.
Impact on Squad software
The announcement contains no anti-cheat update, ban notice, detection report, or new protection feature. That does not make either client build risk-free: using game software always carries a risk of enforcement. It simply means the release notes provide no confirmed anti-cheat reason to stop playing or to claim the new build is safe.
A client build can still affect whether a particular product works correctly. Do not infer compatibility from the patch notes alone; use the status published by the product’s developer. Check the current build support in your account or through support before attaching software to the game.
For example, confirm the current status of Soft HUB for Squad or SMG for Squad immediately before launching. The same applies to the DMA-based Clutch for Squad: its connection method does not remove the need to verify support for the new client build.
Launch now or wait?
If your game has not updated, the official notes say the old client remains playable and no server action is required. If you are already on Client Build 2, launch software only after its support status explicitly covers that build. If there is no status yet, wait for a response from the product’s support channel.
Do not download unofficial “fixes,” replacement loaders, or files from unverified sources. Use the product’s normal delivery and update channel only. Review the safe launch checklist before starting, and see why cheats get detected for a breakdown of detection risks.
Other issues are still open
The developers are still investigating the “0/0 queue,” missing or broken sensitivity settings, turret stabilisation, map and terrain problems, and UI migration issues. The post does not connect these items to software compatibility or detection, so they should not be treated as a signal about either one.
Check your game build, check the product status, and launch only when those two match.
