Rust Breach and Clear: What the Update Means for Cheat Users

Breach and Clear changes progression, upkeep, and drone-market access. The announcement says nothing about anti-cheat, bans, or cheat status, so do not assume an old build is ready to run.

Rust Breach and Clear: What the Update Means for Cheat Users

The practical takeaway

This announcement covers gameplay systems. It does not mention an anti-cheat update, a ban wave, detections, or the compatibility status of any cheat. There is no basis here to say that a product works after the patch or that the risk level is unchanged.

Game updates can require cheat developers to update their builds. Do not load an older version without checking its current compatibility notice through the product channel or support first. That applies whether you use Stealth Full or Mason Full.

Monument access is slower early in a wipe

Rust now adds monument blockers at monuments with red keycard puzzle rooms. These obstacles must be destroyed before players can get through. Stronger blockers take substantial damage and stay gone once destroyed. Some weaker versions can be broken with melee weapons. Any blocker left standing for 24 hours starts to decay.

For early-wipe players, this can add time and resource cost before reaching some monument loot. It is a progression change, not an anti-cheat change, and it does not confirm the operation of any player, item, or object-related feature. Plan monument runs around the actual server situation instead of expecting the previous early-wipe pace.

Larger groups need more upkeep resources

Tool Cupboards now apply extra upkeep based on the number of players associated with a base. The count includes players authorized on the TC, players deauthorized within the previous 24 hours, players authorized on base code locks including guest-code users, and players recently removed from those locks.

The first four counted players add no tax. The next six add 2% each, then every additional player adds 4%, up to a 300% cap. The announcement gives two examples: six authorized players mean +4% upkeep, while twelve mean +20%. Hover over upkeep cost while the TC is open to see the current rate.

Groups should review TC and lock permissions before committing resources to a base. Removing access is not an instant way to reduce the count, since recently removed players remain relevant for 24 hours.

Drone purchases now depend on Power Plant

The drone marketplace is connected to the Power Plant system. Its charge rises when four or more fuses are active, and it can accept purchases once the charge reaches 50%. With at least one fuse installed, charge will not decrease. If it falls below 50%, the marketplace turns off again. The marketplace map screen shows the current charge.

That is a logistics concern rather than a software-specific one: check marketplace power before planning a drone order. The update also adds extremely rare high quality metal ore nodes and collectables across the island, with better odds for nodes in the Jungle.

Other patch changes

A Medical Honey Bandage is now available through Workbench Level 1, positioned between a regular Bandage and a Medical Syringe. Attack helicopter and armoured HAB armour also now comes off in sections as it takes damage, exposing vulnerable areas.

Neither change is tied to cheat functionality in the announcement. If your product has no confirmed post-patch status, wait for a developer notice instead of testing compatibility in a live match. When choosing or renewing access, use the cheat selection checklist and prioritize update status and available support over player assumptions.

FAQ

Does the announcement mention anti-cheat changes or bans?
No. Breach and Clear contains no information about anti-cheat updates, detections, bans, or the status of a specific cheat.
Should I wait for a cheat update after this Rust patch?
Check the status of your own product with its developer or support. The announcement does not confirm that any solution remains compatible after the game update.
How does the new Tool Cupboard upkeep tax work?
The first four counted players add no tax. The next six add 2% per player, and each player after that adds 4%, with a 300% maximum.
Why might the drone marketplace be unavailable?
It needs charge from the Power Plant system. Purchases only work at 50% charge or above, and the marketplace deactivates below that threshold.
